I have very mixed feelings about this movie...The cinematography was beautiful, the island felt alive, and McConaughey was doing that intense, sweaty, mysterious thing he does so well. I was locked in, expecting a solid neo-noir thriller...Then the movie completely lost me...The big twist and the way the story shifts into this meta, reality-questioning direction felt too sudden and poorly executed...

It’s such a fun, light-hearted, and wholesome family movie that genuinely made me smile the whole way through...That Gut Buster monent always gets to me...What made the scene hilarious to me is that the dad somehow became the last hope of the entire operation... Man was fighting for that free meal like the family’s financial future depended on lactose intolerance 😆.
