This is from Lab 22, our 3D metal printing lab. Our 3D powder-bed printing systems fuse metallic powder (via either a laser or electron beam) into solid layers to build up a part within a powder bed. The printers work by directing an electron beam or laser at a bed of titanium powder in order to melt parts of it.
