New in Autodesk Inventor 2022 is the ability to export a Revit model from Inventor as a ‘Project’ or RVT file. The ‘Structure’ option in the simplify command allows the creation of a Revit model consisting of one or multiple elements which can be tagged and scheduled independently inside Revit. Simplify > Output > Structure > ‘All in One Element’: Creates a Revit RVT file containing one element which represents all the Inventor geometry. Simplify > Output > Structure > ‘Each Top Level Component’

Autodesk Inventor 2022 includes new options for simplifying your model – including the ability to replace components with a simple shape. Replace the whole model, top level components or all parts with a bounding envelope, ready to create your simplified model. Replace with Envelopes provides the means to replace components with a bounding box. When you click on an option, the preview shows the components which will be represented by an envelope.
