I made this demo for my Stylized Portrait course — it’s a head study showing the muscle anatomy of the face. Understanding the structure beneath the skin is so important. Even when we stylize or exaggerate forms, a solid grasp of bone and muscle anatomy gives our portraits believability. Of course, in stylized art, anatomy can (and should!) be molded, simplified, or pushed to fit the specific aesthetic — but those choices feel more intentional when you know the fundamentals first.
