In a short time an inebriated man on a tube tied to 2 others (one looked to hold a beer cooler) came floating by and asked if we had seen 2 women floating by. He was pretty incompetent, but at least had lots of floatation.
I recently purchased a Scientific Angler Mastery Texture Series: Titan Taper line. It is a shooting head floating line that has an "aggressive" 33 1/2 ft...
The end of a floating flyline still can float lower than the main body of the line because the ratio of floating coating to core is lower in this small diameter section.
Ok, so I'm a bit lost when it comes to fishing emerger patterns and nymphs in still water. Should I be using a floating line, just let it sit? Strip very slowly? Varying types of retrieve? I got the impression that emergers may have been the way to go at Cady today, but I just didn't know how I...

My husband and I are thinking of floating the river from the white bridge to Crossover Bridge. Looks like a good float for a couple of noobies. Just wondering if any one would share any dangers we may encounter or a better option. Cheers everyone.:)
A couple of spun deer hair dragonfly nymphs. @bakerite ties some bada-- floating dragon fly nymphs and turned me onto this pattern. I like to fish these with a full sink line and do a couple short strips and pause after I've counted it down to bottom.
You can absolutely tie/ weld/ glue some floating line onto some sinking line (t-x), but the beauty of mow tips is that the floating line tapers into the sinking line and thus turns over very nicely instead of the hinge effect creating with a straight shot of T-x.
My fiancé and I are thinking about getting a raft, 13’ or 14’. We live in Kitsap county and looking for some beginner floats (and hopefully fish) to build experience. I’m looking anything in OP or East of Seattle.
